sorry for the lack of updates

been rather caught up with school work

its been rather hectic so far

thank goodness for the break!

we went off to manly beach today

took a train to circular quay

then a ferry to manly wharf

i think there's some navy thing going on,

that explains the large number of sailors there that day

the ferry we took!

the sand, the sea and the wave

and we took an hour long bushwalk trek

to be rewarded by such a sight

awesome:)

food served in the hostel!

same days we get quite good meals

other are really quite inedible

depending on the cook we get

this is a long overdue post

a tour around my campus

not as visually appealing though!

thats how the buildings in my campus looks like

then try to imagine this building situated all around a small campus,

with variations in height and width!

the third pic, something that is less concrete around

fourth is the library behind the glass doors

far from modern but filled with lots of health related books!

and lastly, a noticeboard just outside the library,

ya, they are very neat people as you can see!

stayed over at a friend's house the night before after mardi graz

and we cooked pasta for lunch the next day

dont worry, i still dont eat cheese!

seems like its a day of for sydney

and the whole city seems like one big party!

one of the friday night,

when work wasnt overwhelming,

when we had a night to spare,

a trip down to darling harbour

for pancakes wedges and crepes

simply delightful:)

we went off to somewhere near harbour bridge

and had pancakes there!

got a one for one deal because of some coupons:)

so half price!

 

just a short trip to town today

to meet up a friend who brought 

some things over for me from spore

and decided on LINDT CAFE

why not if it cause as much as a starbucks coffee

for something much better:)

mine ice mocha

her ice chocolate

and macaroons!

its the last day before school officially begins

so we have our last bit of exploring to do today!

headed off to the rocks market,

with all the artsy stuff there,

then walked all the way down to paddy's market for grocery shopping

and what a bargain we had,

one whole big basket of grapes or peaches or garlic or apples etc

for only ONE DOLLAR!

Yet another town to cabramatta

to eat dim sum

which was as good as those we have in spore, 

or even better!

and this place is like a vietnamese town

all the shops and streets and people

im amazed!

Oh and the banana in the can is just one of the weird things they have that are canned

more to come!

Off to newtown today

a suburb near the main campus

known for its cheap thai food

then headed to the main campus 

to soak in the atmosphere of O-week

equaivalent to our cca fair back home

but this def held more large scale!

my green curry rice for A$6.00

yummy:)

and something i see of henkel product

went back to school for a faculty talk

so we were there for morning tea and lunch again

same food, but better sausages today!

and they didnt allow second servings,

though im quite sure they have left-overs

and yet another day of stay-at-home

i got my nap though:)

oreintation with the local students started today

it was the exact repetition of what we had

so we skipped most of the lect

except for morning tea and lunch!

since we stayed on-campus,

why not right:)

the sausages were so good!

off to ikea today

(there's only one in the whole of sydney!

and there's two in spore, 

this doesnt make sense)

it looks similar to the one we have in tampines

accompanying my friends to do furniture shopping

then to strathfield for grocery shopping

starburst thats available in the supermarket

pretty much a stay at home day today

had my afternoon nap

a luxury i havent had for years!

and i did this up too:)

a walk down parramatta road

where there's spotlight and other factory outlets

one with lots of children clothes at very reasonable price

main reason was actually to go to spotlight

the rest were bonus finds and 

krispy kremes was there too!

didnt eat it though, cause i was longing for the j co one more

though this branch had much more variety

saw this parrot on my way back from school
